Is this a wetsuite triathlon (sprint distance) – can you wear one if you have one?
Yes Debbie this is an open water swim and a wetsuit may be worn providing the water temperature does not EXCEED 22 degrees celcius.
As a wetsuit is primarily to provide warmth (the added bouyancy that helps you swim is a bonus!) there is a strong danger of a person overheating.
Is it compulsory to wear a wetsuit for the sprint triathlon or can you wear a tri suit as I don’t have a wetsuit?
Hello, when will competitor info be released please?
Jaime, info will be released on the Tuesday night after entries close.
